Working with farmers, landowners, and communities from Coromandel, through Paeroa, Waihi and Katikati to Omokoroa to restore our land and create safe habitats for native wildlife to return.
From growing eco-sourced native plants to hands-on restoration, weed control, and predator management, we provide practical solutions that make a real difference in recloaking the Whenua. We cover towns from the Lower Coromandel to Tauranga including Waihi, Thames, Paeroa, Hauraki, Te Aroha, Katikati, Western Bay of Plenty, Opoutere, Whangamata, Ngatea, Miranda, Waitakaruru, and inbetweem.
We work with farmers, landowners, and community groups to plan, plant, and maintain thriving native areas, from riparian zones and wetlands to farm shelter belts and lifestyle blocks. Whether it’s spraying gorse and blackberry, restoring a forest margin, or setting up a predator control programme, our experienced team has the knowledge and tools to help your land thrive and bring back the birds.
Protect Waihi’s native wildlife by joining our community effort! You can borrow traps from our Trap Library to use on your urban or rural property, or purchase a backyard rat trap for just $10 if you’re a Waihi urban resident.
Want to get more hands-on? Volunteer to check a trap line in local reserves or assist with community engagement, funding, or trap distribution.
Every bit of help makes a difference!
